Kiela Crabtree presents: "Policing the Color Line: Introducing the Bridging Racial Violence Dataset"

We would like to thank Kiela Crabtree, a Ph.D. candidate in political science at the University of Michigan, for sharing her research in progress on racial violence in the United States. She presented a new dataset, the Bridging Racial Violence Dataset (1970-1990) – a rich resource that begins to fill the gap between systematic data on lynchings (1880s-1930s) and hate crimes (1992-present) in the United States. The talk rounded out the spring 2021 virtual edition of the IJL Nexus Series. Thank you, Prof. Crabtree for an enlightening talk. We look forward to welcoming you to William & Mary in person in the not-too-distant future.
